Last month, I had the privilege of traveling to Pacific City, Oregon to attend the Let’s Go Workshop (for those of you that don’t know what a photography workshop is, it’s basically a full day of intensive courses and live shoots.) I got to learn from some of the best photographers in the industry including Anni Graham, Twyla Jones, and Grace Hurtienne. After several hours of class and Q+A, we ate some bomb fish tacos, and then headed out to Cape Kiwanda for a styled elopement shoot.
If you or anyone you know is considering eloping and you’re looking for the perfect destination, the Oregon coast did not disappoint. The entire Cape Kiwanda area is stunning and we practically had the entire beach to ourselves. It was so peaceful and serene. The massive haystack (rock) at Cape Kiwanda is the tallest on the Oregon coast, making for an epic backdrop and perfect spot for and intimate wedding or elopement.
Hakeem + Jasmine (our models) were a blast to work with and seriously the cutest. Here’s a look into their styled elopement on Cape Kiwanda…
Seriously can’t put into words how much I enjoyed my time in Oregon and at the Let’s Go Workshop. I believe investing into your business is so important to help you better serve your clients and I’m so glad I was able to attend such a well put-together workshop (and make some photog friends along the way). It was so fun getting together with fellow photographers from all over the country to learn and shoot together. I came home feeling so inspired and blessed to have had this amazing opportunity.
And if you’re considering a Cape Kiwanda elopement, do it. (and let me photograph it😉)
